Where does the data come from?
Directly from Texas-reported gross receipts — the alcohol sales every permitted bar and restaurant reports to the state each month. It's public record, shown exactly as reported.
How current is it, and how far back does it go?
Updated monthly as the state releases new filings, with history back to 2007 — nearly two decades of every venue's alcohol sales.
A number looks wrong — is the data accurate?
Figures are shown exactly as the business reported them to the state, and Texas Bar Data doesn't alter them. Reporting gaps or late filings can make a month look low; where we can detect a gap we flag it. If you believe a specific record is mismatched (for example, the wrong location or owner), email us the details and we'll look into the mapping.
Is food revenue included?
No — these are alcohol (liquor, wine, beer) receipts only. For most bars that's the bulk of sales; for full-service restaurants it's a strong, consistent proxy for overall performance. Our estimated total-sales figure grosses alcohol up using a typical alcohol-to-food ratio.
What do the plans cost, and how do I upgrade?
Open Account → Billing to see current plans and upgrade or change your plan at any time. Your new plan takes effect immediately and unlocks its features right away.
How do I cancel, and do you offer refunds?
You can cancel anytime in a click from Account → Billing — access continues through the end of your current billing period. For a refund question, contact us below and include the email on your account.
I can't log in or forgot my password.
Use the “Forgot password” link on the sign-in page to reset it by email. If you signed up with Google, use the Google button to sign in. Still stuck? Write to us below from the email on your account and we'll help.
What are the comp set and Portfolio?
Premium features. The comp set lets you track up to 7 venues, mark yours, and benchmark your monthly alcohol sales and rank against local competitors. Portfolio groups venues into roll-ups of combined sales and estimated value.
How does “Refer a friend” work?
Share your personal link (top menu → Refer). A friend who joins through it gets an extended 10-day preview, and you earn +3 preview days each time — for your first three referrals.
Can I export the data?
Detail pages show full monthly history on screen. If you need a bulk export or an API for your own analysis, tell us your use case below — we prioritize export features by demand.
Is Texas Bar Data affiliated with the state?
No. Texas Bar Data is an independent product. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by any Texas state agency, and all figures are shown as reported to the state.
